Support Dru’s Family

Update: My mother passed this morning shortly after 3am. Please continue to share to help my dad with final costs.
I am assisting in raising funds on behalf of my mom and dad—Dru and John Boos.
I am heartbroken to share the news that my mom, Dru “Drusilla” Boos, is currently receiving hospice/ comfort care at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, KS.
Tuesday night, she was sent by ambulance to KU Medical Center, only to discover a fast-spreading large cancerous mass in her lungs that has metastasized to her brain. The CT scan performed has shown 20+ lesions on the brain, as well as significant bleeding. During the month of July, my mother’s health rapidly declined, leaving her now in her current state, where she is unable to talk, walk, feed herself, and lose a significant amount of cognitive function. With treatment not being a viable option for her situation, Oncology and Palatable Care Teams have suggested that the days we have left with her may be numbered.
This is devastating news for her beloved husband of 32 years, myself, grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
I have started this campaign in hopes of alleviating some of the financial burden that comes with enduring such a tragic event. Funds raised will go directly to our family, to support my dad, John in particular, in travel, meals, extensive medical expenses, and the inevitable final costs. Your support brings a message of love and solidarity to our family who have been so greatly impacted by this news. Thank you for your kindness and generosity during these hard and almost impossible feeling days.
