Support Duke’s TPLO Surgery
Donation protected
Duke is our first rescue dog and has become a great addition to our little family.
Duke was found abandoned at a park and in very bad condition. Dieter and I decided to rescue Duke in October 2023 and made a commitment to provide him with a warm and loving home. He has brought so much joy to our lives and has become a great companion to our Great Dane, Leela.
Nursing him back to health these past 6 months has been very challenging. In addition, Duke tore his right canine cruciate ligament, or CCL (the equivalent of an ACL in a human). Most dogs with this injury cannot walk normally and experience severe pain. This has been the case with Duke for about a month now.
Our trusted veterinary surgical team decided that a Cranial Cruciate Ligament Repair: Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) is the best choice for Duke’s leg. We are very lucky that they were able to schedule the surgery on May 6th, followed by a 6-month long recovery period.
The cost of Duke’s surgery (which will be shared in the comments section) is approximately $6200. We would be so grateful for anything that you can spare toward our sweet boy’s care.
Updates on Duke’s recovery will be shared here and on social media.
Thank you so much for your support!
