Support Duncan's Emergency Surgery

Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

I am writing this for my other dog this week. As some of you know, my dog, Duncan, has to undergo urgent abdominal surgery. Just last week, I had to say goodbye to my older dog, and now this.

Duncan has been my light through my most difficult times as a doctorate student and my undergraduate life. Anyone who has done higher education knows it's a journey of stress, late nights, and many sacrifices. Duncan has been at my side throughout all of this and has continued to comfort me throughout my journey.

Recently, Duncan's behavior changed radically: he began acting lethargic among some other details I can not say, so I rushed him to the vet. They said he had to have emergency abdominal surgery. Many of you know the stress of that feeling. The surgery is going to be crucial in saving his life but it is simply, it's going to be expensive.

Finances are very tight for any doctorate student. I have been surviving on my student loans as well as support from family, and now I have to utilize that money towards the surgery of Duncan. But I am prepared to do every and anything to make sure he's okay. So loans it is.
