Help Support Durgham Qreiqe and his family: Artist & Beacon of Hope in Gaza

Hello,

My name is Jafra Abu Zoulouf, a Palestinian Artists living in Cyprus. Along with my friend Anna Christina Saif, a Cypriot-British Academic and Independent researcher (PHD). We are reaching out to you on behalf of a remarkable individual from Gaza: Durgham Qreiqe.

Durgham, a talented Palestinian artist born in 1997, is devoting his time and life to bring joy and hope to the children of Gaza through art. Along with his fellow artists, Durgham organizes artistic activities and social gatherings for children in Rafah, creating moments of happiness amidst their horrifying realities.

The escalating conflict in Gaza has profoundly affected Durgham and his family. They have lost their home and Durgham's art studio in the bombardments. Forced to relocate five times to escape the direct threats to their lives, they face constant risks of violence. Tragically, several family members have been killed, and others grievously injured.

Today, Durgham's most urgent need is to secure food and shelter for his family, particularly with the looming threat of a ground invasion in Rafah. He is committed to ensuring their survival and continuing his work with the children of Gaza, who look to him as a symbol of resilience and hope.

انا ضرغام بسام قريقع أبلغ من العمر 27 عاما أعمل كفنان بصري حيث أمارس الرسم والتصوير الزيتي. أعيش في مدينة غزة القديمة التي شهدت عدة حروب وتصعيدات منذ ولادتي.. ولكن في العدوان الأخير على قطاع غزة كانت هي الأشرس والأعنف على عائلتي وأبناء شعبي كافة.. حيث واجهت فيها بشكل شخصي إبادة جماعية تعرضت لها عائلتي وبيتي الذي كان ملاذا امنا . تم نزوحي انا وعائلتي ما يقارب الخمس مرات في كل نزوح كان الخطر يقترب أكثر وتعددت المجازر.. وكان الفقد أكثر حيث دمر بيتين لنا وقتلت أسلحة الاحتلال أختي سجي وضحى وخالتي أنعام - تم فقدان جثمان أختي ضحى وخالتي- وابنتها مريم وابن عمي محمد وأصيبت أمي إصابة خطيرة في قدميها وبطنها وأذنيها ومازلت تعاني منها حيث حوصرت في مجزرة مستشفى الشفاء ومن ثم تم اجباري أنا وأمي بصفتي مرافقها الى جنوب القطاع مشيا على الأقدام وأصيبت أمي بنزيف حاد بسبب اصابتها الخطيرة اثناء المشي.. ومن ثم كنت مرافقها في مستشفى الأوروبي في مدينة خان يونس وبعد دخول المدينة برا بأليات العدو نزحت انا وهي مرة أخرى من المستشفى خوفا من إعادة سيناريو اقتحام المستشفيات التي إعتادها الاحتلال بلا رحمة على المرضى والطواقم الطبية.. وفي تاريخ 31 يناير2024 قمت بإجراءات السفر لأمي وأختي دينا – دينا التي شهدت مجزرة مستشفى المعمداني في 17 أكتوبر- بأعجوبة ومعاناة كبيرة الى العريش وهي منطقة أمنية تابعة لمصر قريبة من الحدود لقطاع غزة ومكثت أمي في المستشفى العسكري المصري الذي يعاني من نقص حاد من الرعاية الطبية.. أما أنا أكملت مسيرة نزوحي حيث رفح أقصى جنوب القطاع وهي النقطة التي أعتبرها الوحيدة للجوء لملاذ أمن أنا وباقي أخوتي أعيش فيها في (باراكس) وهو عبارة عن كرفان من الحديد على أرض رملية الحار نهارا وشديد البرودة ليلا كما وضع الخيام مع باقي أبناء شعبي.. في هذه الظروف الصعبة، دعمكم أمر بالغ الأهمية لسلامة عائلتي. إن أي مساهمة مهما كان حجمها سيكون لها تأثير عميق في رحلتنا نحو إعادة بناء بيوتنا بسلام. ستساهم التبرعات في تسهيل عملية استمرار الحياة في ظل هذه الظروف. أطلب منكم نشر هذا النداء بين معارفكم لكي نستطيع تحقيق هدفنا وضمان وصول عائلتي إلى حياة آمنة.
