Support DWC: Provide 800 Turkey Dinners
Tax deductible
The leaves are changing, pumpkin-spice is everywhere and it is time for DWC to launch our annual capital campaign. Since 2016 Dudes Who Care (DWC) has embraced a set of values which help us lead and voluntarily give to those around us. Service, Leadership, Respect, Community, Faith, and Family are what makes a "Dude" Who Cares. We refer to this sets of values as The Dude Code.
Our Charity began with the idea of helping our members of our local community. Our first year of Thanksgiving collections raised 50 whole turkey dinners and have now grown to measuring our donations in tonnage. In 2023 we once again set a new record in donations and were able to provide over 4 tons food.
Every year we are continuously amazed by the generosity of friends, colleagues, families, businesses and members of the community. This year we have been informed that the need in community remains great as the food pantry continues to experience a high demand. Rising consumer costs and living expenses have forced many to make the tough choices resulting in the rationing or limiting of food.
Consequently, for 2024 we hope to help meet this need once again and surpass last year's achievements by providing at least 800 Turkey dinners. It is only through the generous donations received, and the volunteering of our members and fellow Dudes that we are able to help those who may not be as fortunate as many of us this season.
A donation of $50 will allow us to provide 1 meal for average family of 5, but obviously our purchasing power increases according to the quantity of our purchase.
As a reminder, we are a registered 501c3 charitable organization, and thus any donations are tax-deductible.
Wishing you a very happy, healthy, and joyous holiday season.
