Support Ed Schrank's Family in Their Time of Need
Donation protected
My name is Kevin Cavanaugh, and I am the President of the Chicago Marines Foundation, a non-profit organization that raises money for entities that provide programatic support for veterans in Chicago and, in some cases, nationally. Through this capacity and other advocacy work that I have done, I befriended Ed Schrank. Ed was a Marine and passionate about helping other veterans just as much as me. We met 15 years ago and we always had a great time talking about our time in the Marine Corps, talking about programs that we were supporting or working with, and updating one another on our families and where our kids are presently.
Ed also, unfortunately, had a very rare cancer for as long as I knew him. He battled and battled and beat the cancer multiple times, but it always seemed to come back. Unfortunately, on Sunday, November 17th, we all lost a friend, Yoshie lost her husband, and Sora, Edward III, and Lyndon lost their father when the cancer took Ed from us.
We are starting this GoFundMe at Yoshie's request to handle any unexpected expenses that may come up in the weeks and months ahead. Any additional funds raised will be used for the educational benefit of Ed and Yoshie's three children Sora (15 y/o), Edward III (11 y/o), and Lyndon (8 y/o).
Please contribute whatever you can and know that Ed and his family will be forever grateful.
