Life is very difficult right now. The transition from being an athlete is difficult.

I don’t think my story is new or special or unique. I’m just in a place where I absolutely need help. My mental health has been in the balance for a while. I’m doing my best to stay focused and not lose hope in my goal and dream.

I'm a family man and I have no other goal but to get back to my child.

At the beginning of the year, I was in full preparation for the 2024 Paris Olympics, but in February, I was dropped from funding by my Olympic Committee.

I’m not really sure why all went into the decision, but needless to say, I was absolutely the last to know the decision was made. By then, I had invested 6-7 months of training, expecting financial assistance.

I did my best to continue training with no support and was forced to retire in April.

The agreement I had with my Olympic committee was support through Paris.

I have no quarrel with my Olympic Committee; I just wish it didn’t end the way it did.

My full focus is getting my finances together so I can get back and be more involved in my child’s life.

At the moment, I’ve been working 3 jobs , one full and 2 part time jobs. This economy is really shaky right now; this transition has been difficult. As soon as I’m able to get my financial under control , I’ll be working on a plan to be closer to my child and back active in her life they way I should be.

Right I’m struggling primarily with my car note and insurance. I’m behind on both and facing repossession soon. I’m also facing eviction but the car is a bit more important as I use the car to make money. I have been actively seeking aid for housing and eviction help.

Last Father’s Day , the vehicle I owned had a battery issue and caught fire. Entire car was destroyed. So I had to find a new one that was affordable. I had plan at first but that plan just feel though and I’ve been doing my best work through all us this.

As soon as I am able to gather myself here , I’ll be able to get back to my original plan goal.

I’m just trying to be the best Dad that I can be.
