Support Eddie & Marie Sutherland!

If you live in Souris, Manitoba, chances are that you have either had Eddie Sutherland in your home or business doing work while he worked for Swaenepoel Construction, or you've seen his work in a friend's house or local business. His skill to build/fix/install/renovate (let's be honest, this could be an incredibly long list) is equally matched by his kindness, friendly smile and his ability to make you laugh. His love of old trucks, friends & family and his wife, Marie Sutherland is something to be admired.

As a friend, he has always been there for anyone to call on and ask for help. His strength and intelligence has helped us on more than one occassion and so many others have similar stories.

Now, however, it is our chance to help him out. Eddie was diagnosed in 2019 with Metastic Colon Cancer. He has been through surgery and has gone through numerous rounds of chemotherapy. Unfortunately, in January of 2023 they were told that all options for treatments were exhausted through CancerCare. They are currently looking at other options.

Eddie and Marie would never ask for help as they have always wanted to work and earn everything they have, but now is the time for family, friends and the community to come together and support this couple as they enter this next chapter of their lives.

All money raised will go to the couple and will be used towards bills, medical expenses and giving Marie the ability to spend as much time as she can with Eddie as he continues his journey.

Helping to ease some of the financial burden is our goal and every bit, big or small, helps and is so greatly appreciated.
