Please help support Edgar's Healing Against Cancer

Dear friends, family, and community.

We are humbly asking for your prayers, healing thoughts, and support for Edgar as he continues his journey against cancer.

In the summer of August 2023, Edgar was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer and lynch syndrome. Following his cancer diagnosis, he underwent surgery where 50% of his colon and his appendix were removed. He then endured six months of chemotherapy to help treat the remaining lymph nodes.

Although he had a relieving end to his chemo treatment in early May, recent scans indicated he now has stage 4 colon cancer with a metastasis to his liver. He endured physical discomfort and pain prior to diagnosis, post surgery, and again in recent weeks. His next primary method of care will be immunotherapy.

Over the course of his chemo treatment Edgar championed through full-time work with LAUSD, graduated university, and - most notably - became a father! We could not be any prouder of the resilience, determination, and fortitude he exemplifies.

And while we look ahead with faith and optimism we would like to help minimize the stress and pressure surrounding projected financial burdens for his treatment and care, so he is able to focus his strength and energy on treatment and healing. This is where we would greatly appreciate your help.

This fundraising effort is to help cover the cost that conventional and holistic treatments demand as we hope to equip him with the best that both therapies have to offer. And furthermore, to alleviate living expenses as needed for the times he is unable to work.

Edgar has marshaled several titles in his life: a beloved son, brother, uncle, boyfriend, father and friend. He renders incredible and indescribable meaning to those who know and love him. A dedicated, compassionate, sincere and humble man to say the least.
