Support Egun Omode's Trip to Osogbo, Nigeria
Donation protected
3x is a charm! The first time the pandemic slowed us down, the second time we weren't ready, but this time we are going!! Egun Omode Performing Arts Collective is going to Osogbo, Nigeria in December. We need your support!
We are traveling to Osogbo to study Yoruba culture, specifically to train sekere. As you know, we are the only youth West African sekere, drum and dance company in the US. Sekere is the instrument that brings joy to the world. Our youth will be training with sekere master teacher Adetoyese Adeyeye. They will also explore the rich culture of Yorubaland, including the world famous Osun grove, performing for the Ataoja (King) of Osogbo, chief priest Araba Agbongbon Fakayode Faniyi, and many others.
We are traveling with 8 of our youth performers and their parents. Your donation will help to offset the enormous travel expense of our youth artists. We greatly appreciate your support and all of your prayers.
