Support Eldon's Emergency Surgery

Those who know Eldon Knoll well know he is the strongest, sweetest, most humble human alive. He built his own company, provided for his wife and 3 children, and always put others first. Eight years ago at only 49 he had a major stroke that strongly affected his life. Without going into too much detail (although my mom has it all documented if you'd like to know more), it left him handicapped and forced to sell his company.
We know things will never be the same but we have accepted and are thankful that my dad is still with us. Although my mother has a full-time job as caretaker now, we like to believe her and my dad still enjoy the lives they have now which includes watching their 3 granddaughters part time each week.
Yesterday life turned upside down yet again for the person who deserves it the least. This week Eldon was diagnosed with diverticulitis. At first, outcomes seemed manageable with antibiotics and a high fiber diet...but unfortunately we just found out he had perforated diverticulitis and had to have emergency surgery on his intestines/colon. He will have to wear a colostomy bag for 6 months until they're healed enough to have a second surgery and be replaced. For anyone else this still could be manageable, however, on top of the full-time care-taking responsibilities my warrior mother already has on her plate, this is another nightmare.
I always regretted not setting up a GoFundMe page for my selfless parents during our dad’s first horrific event, but after watching him have to sell his company and still struggle to this day with the simplest things everyone else takes for granted, we wanted to create a support resource to potentially offset some of the medical bills, knowing our strong and proud parents may not ask for help. Our parents are still facing struggles from the stroke, so this page will give updates on his condition and allow people to contribute in any way to these loving parents/grandparents who deserve nothing but the best.
