After a lengthy interview process competing with candidates around the world, Elena Ohlander, was awarded a $5,000 scholarship and a chance to become a master artisan through the POJ (Pieces of Japan) Kintsugi Apprenticeship.

This includes field trips to visit key people and places behind Kintsugi-repair to properly study: tableware, tool making, natural materials, environmental impact and food culture.
