Support Elena's Recovery Journey
Donation protected

Hi, my name is Jenna Faltas and I’m fundraising on behalf of my beautiful and talented sister, Elena Faltas. Those that grew up with Elena may know her as “Ellie”, her childhood nickname. Friends in Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire may know Elena from her elevated catering company, Graze by Elena.
Elena was in a serious and life-altering motorcycle crash on Wednesday, May 15th while participating in a motorcycle learner’s training class. During the training, Elena lost control of her motorcycle and crashed into a nearby cinderblock building. She broke both of her wrists, her pelvis, and her right leg - an unimaginably painful experience. She has recently undergone four surgeries to set her many broken bones into place with plates and screws. Elena’s doctors have been great, but their prognosis is that she will not be able to bear weight on her legs for at least 6 weeks, so will be on bedrest in the hospital before transitioning to an acute inpatient rehabilitation facility while her body slowly recovers from these traumatic injuries. Following bedrest, Elena will be looking at a very long recovery of additional inpatient physical and occupational therapy before being discharged home with visiting nurses.
As many of you can imagine, Elena’s medical bills will be excessively burdensome due to her complex medical needs. Meanwhile, her catering business will need to be put on hold. My family has been overwhelmed with the outpouring of support from our community following her accident, and we are hoping to raise money to help ease the burden of her medical expenses and loss of income during this incredibly difficult time for Elena and our family.
We’ve set a lofty goal of $100,000 but anything, even $1, helps. If you are not able to contribute financially but want to help in other ways, please reach out to me. Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Take care,
Jenna
