Support Elizabeth's Passion for Ballroom Dancing

Hello! I am Elizabeth and I absolutely love to dance!! It is my true passion! I started ballroom dancing at 45 years old, and I am currently 49, dancing at the gold level of American Rhythm pro-am ballroom dance. I quickly moved up from a beginner to the gold level in less than 3 years!

I have been a Family Therapist and Mental Health Counselor for the last 14 years. I have spent my life helping other people in every way that I can….. emotionally, spiritually, financially, and then some! I have been peoples’ lifeline when they had no one.

The last 2.5 years of my life have been extremely challenging on a personal level and dancing has been MY lifeline. Ballroom dancing is an expensive sport. In order for me to have the opportunity to compete and inspire others, I need help paying for it all: dance lessons, travel expenses and Particularly my participation in The New York Dance Festival 2025- one of the largest and most exciting Ballroom competitions in the US.

February 19th, I am planning to travel to New York to compete. This will definitely be the toughest competition I have ever entered. It is hard for me to fund the entire trip and I need help.

I hope that my story inspires other people to pursue their passions at any age. I have learned that when you are a helper, you must also learn to ask for help. Asking for help is not easy for me, as it implies that I can’t do it all by myself - which feels on some level like failure. But I’m dancing out of my comfort zone in hopes to continue following my passions at any cost!!! Thank you for taking the time read my story!!
