Meet the Dill Family: Jason, Amber, Caroline, Sophia, and Ellie
Jason and Amber Dill began fostering children five years ago. They saw a great need in their community and beyond for assistance to children of families in crisis. Their purpose for fostering children was their desire and calling to provide a safe, stable, nurturing, and loving home for children in crisis until the children could be safely reunited with their biological family.
Meet Ellie:

Ellie is a beautiful, bubbly, full of personality, three year old who has lived with Jason and Amber and their two biological children Caroline and Sophia since the day she left the hospital after birth. As far as Ellie is concerned, if you ask her, she will tell you, Jason is her daddy, Amber is her mommy, and she has two big sisters Caroline and Sophia. She has never known another family. Jason, Amber, Caroline, and Sophia are her family and she adores them as they do her.
Their Journey:
Nearly four years ago Jason and Amber received a call from DSS informing them that a new born baby girl was in need of foster care. Jason and Amber were already fostering a toddler and Caroline and Sophia were still small as well. They were very aware that fostering a newborn, as well as a toddler, and caring for two young children of their own would be a handful. They had very little information, but they knew a newborn baby girl needed their help until she could be reunited with her family, reunification being the goal. Although they were not aware of it at the time, their wonderful journey with this little one had just begun.
Jason and Amber were granted guardianship of Ellie in 2017 after reunification efforts were exhausted. They are now seeking adoption privately. They have been facing a mountain of unexpected legal fees for some time and have had and will continue to have multiple days of missed work for hearings and legal proceedings. They are currently facing a very urgent financial need for additional legal expenses. They have made as many personal financial sacrifices as their family has been able to make in order to care for and adopt Ellie. However, the current financial need is still greater than what is available.
Jason, Amber, and Ellie’s current need:
$2500 – will go toward a partial retainer fee for a new attorney – this is due by June 14, 2019.
$2500 – will go toward the retainer balance which will be due not long after.
$5000 – will go toward what is now expected to be future legal costs
Donations for paid legal expenses which have already placed a heavy financial strain on this wonderful family will also be greatly appreciated.
My goal in sponsoring this campaign is to ease the financial burden on this family, lift the financial stress they are currently under with an urgent need due by June 14th, and ensure they have the funds needed to keep moving forward with Ellie’s adoption process. I also want to encourage others to join in their cause by becoming a foster parent/family.
My name is Teresa. I am Jason’s sister, Amber's sister in law, and Caroline, Sophia, and Ellie are my beautiful nieces.
Your donation will make an eternal impact on this family’s life. Thank you in advance for your caring and support. It is greatly appreciated. May God bless you.
If you would like more information on becoming a foster parent/family, please contact your local Department of Social Services. There are currently 400,000 children in the US who do not have permanent families.
With all my heart, on behalf of Ellie and the Dill Family, thank you for your generous donation.
