Support Emily Hay's Family

As some of you may know, our dearest daughter and sister Emily Hay was tragically diagnosed with breast cancer just last May. While she fought valiantly through multiple rounds of chemo, surgeries, radiation, and long days and nights in the hospital away from her husband and children, she unfortunately passed away on April 4th surrounded by her loving family.
Words cannot express our grief.
Many of our loved ones have reached out asking how they can help assist, so we wanted to start this fundraiser for Emily's family, especially her children. We are establishing a trust for Hayley and Nicholas with the goal of ensuring they have everything they need in life, including access to whatever education they choose to pursue. Additionally, we want to make sure that Kurt has all of the support he needs in this impossible time.
While Emily was only on this earth for 40 years, she lived them to the fullest. Born in Australia before immigrating to the States at age 9, she traveled the world, loved her family and friends fiercely, and built a wonderful life through sheer willpower and determination. She was an incredible daughter, sister, wife, and especially mother - she loved Hayley and Nicholas more than anything in this world. Above all, she was remarkably kind, caring, and empathetic. Emily always thought of others first and gave so much of herself to those she cared about. Now that she has nothing left to give, we're hoping to return the favor by ensuring that her children will never want for anything.
We have all been so touched by your messages of support. Nothing will ever fill the hole in our hearts, but we take solace in the fact that Emily lived a truly rich life and leaves behind a wonderful legacy. We can only hope that everyone who had their lives touched by her in some way can help carry on her legacy by living lives filled with wonder, joy, compassion, and a true zest for life.
With love and appreciation,
Emily's family
