Hello!!!

My name is Jen!! I created this fundraiser for one of the most selfless people I know.

My friend Emily has served our valley as a home health/Hospice nurse for many years. She is one of only a few nurses in our area trained to care for children with illnesses and help kids and their families in the final days of their short lives.

She is also a fantastic wife and mom of three!!!

Approximately a month ago, Emily found herself on the other side of the healthcare system and has survived a severe hemorrhage, Sepsis, Pneumonia twice, and she just received news that she will need a liver transplant to survive. As an organ donor myself, I always think about who might someday get my organs and Emily is precisely the person I would want to receive one. It would be an honor to know that I was able to save a life like Emilys.

It costs, on average $850,000 for a liver transplant and follow-up care!! My goal is to take some of the financial burdens off of this beautiful, giving, selfless woman and her family, so they can just concentrate on the journey ahead.

All funds raised will go directly to Emily and her family to help with living, travel and medical expenses!!
