Support Emily's Family: Eaton Fire, Home and Art Lost

Hi, my name is Celine Germain and I’m an old dear college friend of S. Emily de Araujo. She and her family lost their beautiful home in Altadena a few days ago in the Eaton fire. Emily is an artist and had her entire studio full of decades of artwork in her backyard. Her home was full of collected works from many other artists and friends. Her two children, Benicio and Luiza, and her husband Alexandre all lived amongst her beautiful works. This family home was more than just a home (and of course it was that too), but it was also a precious collection of her life’s work.

I’d love to help them ease their suffering at this time. I understand we have many options to help LA folks, but I hope you’ll consider helping this family. All the money collected on this go fund me will go directly to the family to ease the transition as they begin to put their lives back together. They may use this money for immediate relief items. I will be sending her all funds via Venmo once it’s been transferred to me. I will keep no portion of these funds.
