SUPPORT THE VICTIMS OF ENSARS PROTEST & THE RISING GENERATION
Hi Everyone,
Thanks so much for your interest & clicking the link. So!!!
What is Happening in Nigeria?
A number of people have reportedly been shot dead or wounded at a protest against police brutality in Nigeria's biggest city, Lagos. Witnesses and the rights group Amnesty International said several people were killed and wounded when soldiers opened fire.
The protests over a police unit - the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (Sars) - have been taking place for two weeks, with demonstrators using the social media hashtag #EndSars to rally crowds against extrajudicial killing of youths.
This has sparked the biggest civil movement in the country's modern history. The young, old, celebrities and world leaders everywhere around the world are speaking out to say ENDSARS.
Will you help as well?
Why gofundme?
As a Nigerian living in the United Kingdom who has been away from the country for over 10 years, I have seen these terrible events unfold on social media and in the news and believe I can do something apart from weep and pray for the country. I can help. I can give my time. I can use my voice. i can educate. I can give financially and call others who feel the same to do something.
With the funds we raise we will be able to support a credible charity organisation on ground whose purpose is to empower youths to become active nation builders and presently support endsars victims. Therefore, these funds will go directly to the people and not the government.
The narrative in Africa and Nigeria must change. Injustice must end, poverty alleviated, dignity restored, every life must matter, every young person given hope and a future. New credible and loving leaders must be raised and fundamental human rights made non-negotiable.
