Help Bring Rev. Enrique Umoren Home: A Call for Compassionate Support
Dear Friends and Community,
I am reaching out with a heavy heart to share the story of an incredible man, Rev. Enrique Umoren, who has touched the lives of many. Born in Equatorial Guinea and later establishing his life in Nigeria before migrating to the U.S., Enrique has always been a beacon of hope, love, and hard work. A devoted member of our church, he was the First Chairperson of the Men’s Fellowship and an active participant in the music ministry, dedicating his life to serving God and his community.
Sadly, 2023 brought unexpected challenges for Enrique. After facing serious health issues, he was scheduled for a pacemaker procedure. Just before the surgery, however, his insurance was canceled, and due to a data error with his Medicaid application, he was left vulnerable. On June 28, 2025, I was devastated to learn that Enrique had suffered a cardiac arrest and was placed in an induced coma. After a week of hope, we received the heart-wrenching news of his passing on July 15, 2025.
Now, with his family residing thousands of miles away in Nigeria and burdened with overwhelming emotional and financial stress, we are seeking your support to honor his memory and assist his loved ones. The church has graciously stepped in to cover expenses so far, but we need your help to cover the remaining costs to ship his cremated remains, belongings, and vehicles to his widow in Nigeria.
Our Goal: $10,000
- Shipping and clearing of two cars: $5,000
- URN shipment: $250
- Belongings: $2,000
- Clearance and other expenses: To be determined
Total: $10,000
This campaign is not just about logistics; it’s about preserving the legacy of a noble, unassuming man who always put others before himself. He traveled the world, shared kindness with everyone he met, and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Enrique deserves to be honored with the dignity and love he showed to others.
The church we belong to is small, with fewer than 100 congregants, but has been a constant source of support during this difficult time. Every dollar donated will be a compassionate step toward helping his widow, ensuring she can reclaim Enrique's possessions and vehicles to continue their lives with a piece of his memory.
Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to our goal and helps alleviate some of the burdens that Enrique’s family faces. Thank you for your kindness, love, and support during this tragic time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
