Support Erich's (Erich Chase's) Journey to Walk Again

Ten seconds is all it takes to change your life. On August 16th of this year, Erich Verstandig suffered a spinal cord injury that has turned his life upside down. You know him as an active, strong man who can ride his bike for miles. He loves the simple things in life, his dog Peggy, fitness and upstate New York. For three months, Erich has been struggling to regain his ability to walk and use his hands. Erich said it best, "captivity is the only way to describe how I'm living."

Erich's heart is strong, and like Superman, is fighting each day to regain function. Little by little, through suffering, pain and grit, his efforts are paying off. Erich is set to return home but will need support in providing appropriate, consistent rehabilitation to get him up and moving, that insurance unfortunately, does not provide. Spinal cord injuries require time, healing, and yes, lots of physical therapy and care. Your donation will support the necessary rehabilitative therapies to heal his body and turn paralysis into recovery.
