Support Ironworkers on Strike at Erie Strayer!
Donation protected
As we head into the snowy, freezing Erie winter, we’re fundraising for food, supplies, and healthcare costs for striking Ironworkers at Erie Strayer Co. These workers have been on strike since October 4, 2021, after 7 months of contract negotiations. Among them are veterans, family members, community members, and proud sons and daughters of Erie, Pennsylvania. All they want is to get back to work with a fair contract.
Donations will be withdrawn directly by Iron Workers Shop Local 851, which represents these brave Ironworkers and has been handling the costs of supporting the picket line.
Background on the Fight
Ironworkers at Erie Strayer are still waiting for management to present a reasonable contract. After 7 months of bargaining, Erie Strayer bosses won’t budge to provide the basics for their workers.
Here’s what we’re fighting for:
1.) A Dental Plan for Employees
2.) A Reasonable Raise
3.) A Fair and Dignified Attendance Policy
Our struggle is just one of countless across the country for justice. As we stand in the cold this holiday season and march for our jobs and justice, remember us. Any support you can provide us and our families will go a long way in making sure that we can strike one day longer, one day stronger.
