My name is Ruben Carranco, and I am Erik’s uncle. Last week, my 17-year-old nephew, Erik suffered multiple gunshot wounds at the hands of a public servant in San Antonio, Texas. Until now, we have chosen to remain focused on the condition and health of Erik with little to no commentary. However, Erik remains in critical condition, on life support, and the road ahead feels daunting. Our family is in steadfast prayer for his recovery. We hope you will join us in praying for the stability of his current condition. His injuries are severe, and although he is not yet out of the woods, we remain hopeful he moves in the direction of recovery.

The funds raised will be used towards Erik’s medical bills and to help his parents with Erik’s needs. As a family, we thank you for the outpouring of encouragement and support. 

Erik is a son, brother, nephew, cousin, grandson and friend who’s brought much joy and laughter to our lives. We pray for these opportunities to be with us once again….
