Support Erin Evans' Journey to National Recognition

I am thrilled to share some truly exciting news about an exceptional educator in our community—Erin Evans. As many of you may already know, Erin has been recognized as the Shape Montana Teacher of the Year and has now taken her achievements to the next level by being named the Shape America Elementary Physical Education District Teacher of the Year for the Western District. This incredible honor means that she is now in contention for the prestigious NATIONAL award, which will be announced at the Shape America Convention taking place in Baltimore, MD, this April.

However, the journey from our beautiful state of Montana to bustling Baltimore is not just a simple trip—it comes with significant financial challenges. While School District 2 (SD2) has graciously allowed Erin to take the necessary time off to attend the convention, they are unable to provide funding to cover the associated costs of her travel and accommodations.

Erin has poured her heart and soul into our students for many years, serving not only as their dedicated physical education and health teacher but also as a PEAK coach, a PTA leader, and a tireless champion for fundraising efforts. Her unwavering commitment has been instrumental in molding countless students into healthy, strong, and confident individuals and athletes.

The estimated total for this meaningful trip amounts to $2,500. I am reaching out to our wonderful community to come together and support Erin, allowing her the opportunity to attend this prestigious event without the weight of financial worry.
