Support Erin Foley's Family After the Eaton Fire
Donation protected
Please help my sister, Erin Foley, and her family who lost their Altadena home and everything they own in the Eaton fire. The fire developed and moved so quickly that Erin was lucky to get out of the house with her mom, Lee, and her cat, Leo, just before the blaze overtook their property. Erin and her husband Bob (who was out of town for work at the time of the fire, but is back in LA now), Lee, and Leo are camped out in a hotel, with nothing remaining of their possessions but the clothes on their back.
Bob and Erin are longtime Altadena boosters and active members of their community. They moved to Altadena in the early 1990s, with their children, Lily and Joe. They worked for nearly three decades to meticulously restore their property, archiving their entire family history along the way, including paintings, photographs, and documents, all of which have been destroyed and can never be replaced.
Over the past several years, Bob and Erin have found solace in the greater Altadena community as they care for an elderly mother with dementia. They are actively involved in activities at Altadena Senior Center, workshops at the Altadena Public Library, volunteering for the board of Altadena Children’s Center, and as members of their church choir for nearly 30 years. They are widely regarded as friends and neighbors who can be relied upon in times of need.
I live on the other side of the country, in Massachusetts, but we all know that community is both near and far. We thank you for anything you can contribute to help them get back on their feet as they process this devastating loss. Your donation will go towards clothing, food, transportation, and a safe place to stay while they sort out what to do next.
