Support ELF Disabled Veterans in Sudan

Dear all,

your loving messages to me, my mommy and daddy have made my little heart full to the brim with joy. This has thought me my first lesson: that I have landed in a friendly environment populated by legions of good and lovely people. Mommy and daddy have informed me that many of you wanted to send me gifts. I have everything I want. But I have a little favour to ask of you. I am a June baby and I have learned from my parents that this month is a month when Eritreans show gratitude to those who sacrificed their lives and limbs for Eritrea. My parents have told me that there are thousands of disabled Eritrean veteran freedom fighters (ELF and EPLF Tegadelti) who gave Eritrea everything but still live in extremely difficult conditions. Daddy has shared with me a heart-breaking story of disabled ELF freedom fighters spending unacceptably difficult lives in Kassala and Khartoum without the honour and support they deserve from their country. This thing is personal to our family. Mommy herself was born in Sahel to EPLF freedom fighters and she was taken care of, raised, and educated by disabled veterans in Arareb. Two of daddy’s maternal uncles lost their lives during the Eritrean armed struggle for independence (one in ELF, another in the EPLF). As daddy loves to say, by quoting Marx (my dude is reading me Communist Manifesto! Lol), understanding the world is not enough. We also need to change things for the better. As my first baby act, I want to organise a fundraiser for the ELF disabled veterans in Sudan. It would make me extremely delighted if you can help me reach my goal of raising 5000 USD. The money will directly go to the bank account of the Association of Disabled Eritreans- a non-profit organisation formed in February 2002 to support disabled Eritrean freedom fighters. ዛዕባ ሓርበኛታት ኤርትራ ንስድራና ኣዝዩ ኣገዳሲን ውልቃዊ ምትእስሳር ዘለዎን እዩ። ኣደይ፣ ኣብ ሜዳ-ገድሊ ሳሕል እያ ተወሊዳ። ካብ ምውላዳ ኣትሒዞም ኣብ መዓስከር ዓራርብ ዝተኸናኸንዋ፣ ዘዕበይዋ፣ ዝምሃርዋ ኣካለ-ስንኩላን ሓርበኛታት እዮም። ኣቦይ’ውን ብህይወት ዘየርከበሎም ኣብ ገድሊ-ኤርትራ ዝተሰውኡ ክልተ ኣኮታት ኣለውዎ— ሓደ ኣብ ጀብሃ፣ ሓደ ኣብ ህዝባዊት። ኣቦይ፣ ካርል ማርክስ ጠቂሱ ከም ዝብሎ (እዚ ሰብኣይ ኮሚስት ማኒፈስቶ ከንብበለይ ጀሚሩ’ሎ!)፣ ንህይወት ምርድኣ ጥራይ እኹል ኣይኮነን። ናብ ዝሓሸት ንምቅያራ ድማ ክንጋደል ኣለና። ከም ናይ ፈለማ ናጽላዊ ሰውራዊ ስርሒተይ እምበኣር፣ ኣብ ሱዳን ንዝርከቡ ኣካሎም ዝተጎድኡ ሓርበኛታት ኤርትራውያን ዝውዕል ገንዘብ ንምውህላል (fundraiser) ወሲነ ኣለኹ። ዕላማይ፣ 5000 ዶላር ንምውህላል እዩ። ነዚ ዕላማ ክበጽሕ እንተኽኢልኩኒ፣ እታ ድሮ ብለውሃትኩምን ፍቅርኹምን ባህ ኢልዋ ዘሎ ንእሽቶ ልበይ ኣዕሚዪቛ ክትፍሳህ እያ። ኩሉ እቲ ዝእከብ ገንዘብ ብቐጥታ ናብ ምሕፉዳ ማሕበር ኣካለ-ስንኩላን ኤርትራውያን ሓርበኛታት ክኣቱ እዩ። ማሕበር ኣካለ-ስንኩላን ኤርትራውያን ሓርበኛታት፣ ንሓርበኛታት ኣካለ-ስንኩላን ኤርትራ ንምሕጋዝ፣ ኣብ የካቲት 2002 ዝተመስረተ መኽሰብ ዘይድልብ ማሕበር እዩ። ነዚ ወፈራ 50 ዶላር ብምውፋይ ጀሚረልኩም ኣለኹ። ተትኽልዎ ኣበርክቱ። ነቶም ተተኽእልዎ እተወፍዩ ሓቦኛታት፣ ቪርቹዋል ስዕማታት ክሰደልኩም እየ። ንኹላትኩም የፍቅረኩም እየ።
