Support Ernest Tejeda & Family with Covid Expenses

Ernest Tejeda, 40, was admitted to the hospital with COVID19 in early January. He is currently in a stabilized condition due to Ventilator-Associated Covid-Pneumonia, he has been sedated for over three weeks. Transferring medical facilities and treatments has impacted the Tejeda family dramatically due to loss of income and child care ability, on top of general medical expenses.
Ernest is currently an educator for the Harlandale ISD, teaching early elementary education. He was the primary income provider for his wife, Lilia and three daughters. Due to hospitalization, his salary contract has been compromised for funds for the remainder of the school year. The district is paying the salary for 3 months until March 15, and then there will be no further compensation. The income Ernest earns pays for mortgages and loans, childcare services, as well as general utility and home bills. It is expected that Ernest will not be able to return to work until the next school year after recovery and therapy. He will out of income for about 10 months, estimated to be worth $19,000 of income. The funds raised for Ernest and his family will ensure that his youngest daughter can go to her early care education, allowing his wife to focus on her career to help pay for family expenditures.
