Merry Meet! Welcome to The Serpent's Key Shoppe and Sanctuary!

We are excited to unveil a new venture sure to establish a new Safe Space and home for all who seek a place to belong. While we originally began by looking to buy a permanent building in Hanover, the Real Estate Market simply wasn't aligning with our vision. The stars aligned over the past few months and we are proud to announce we are moving now to a larger rental space in the heart of Downtown Hanover!

Our mission remains the same: to expand the shop with the intention of providing more resources to the underserved communities around Hanover, establishing a dedicated event space for bringing community together, and to provide a home for the current community that has gathered around the shoppe this year, and rapidly outgrown our current space.

The most exciting part of this venture is the Sanctuary Event space which will be dedicated to providing a central hub for any community member who seeks to use it for a variety of reasons including:

- Weekly and Monthly Metaphysical Gatherings

- Therapeutic Yoga and Meditation Circles

- Studio Space for Artists in Residence

- Private Events

- Private Classes in the Arts, Sciences and Humanities

- Celebrations of the Wheel of the Year

- Expansion of the bookstore to specifically elevate LGBTQ+, BIPOC and other marginalized voices

- Metaphysical Workshops

- Continuing to provide community resources for the underserved in Hanover

- Sponsored Youth Scouting Programs

… and that's just what we have planned for the first year.

We look forward to continuing to establish this Sanctuary as a safe space for all, but especially the community that has rallied around The Serpent's Key during their historic battle against Anti-Fortune Telling Laws in Pennsylvania.

Once we're in our new space, the Shoppe is not going to be our first priority. Instead we will turn our intentions towards establishing the Sanctuary FIRST in order to provide an immediate gathering spot for all who seek it, or perhaps seek shelter from Witch Hunts of any kind.

In the wake of book bans, attacks on LGBTQ+ youth, threats on our reproductive rights, and the lack of safety in general for minority communities in places just like Hanover, PA we are committed to protecting and uplifting anyone seeking Sanctuary.
