Support Ethan Lawrence's Legacy

Donation protected
On Sunday, June 30th, 2024, the world lost a young man with a beautiful soul. Our beloved son, Ethan Lawrence, passed away tragically at just 19 years old. Ethan was a dedicated scholar and athlete who competed in Cross-Country, Track, and Volleyball for West Broward High School. After graduating, he was recruited to Jacksonville University, earning a merit scholarship. While at Jacksonville, Ethan became a founding father of Kappa Sigma and was elected Rush Chair. His future was incredibly bright.

During the holiday visit home, Ethan's girlfriend gave birth to a baby girl. This joyous event shifted his path, leading him to transfer to Nova Southeastern University, where he received a Dean Scholarship. As he was preparing for the upcoming season as a walk-on at Nova, Ethan was struck by lightning at Vista View Park. Despite the valiant efforts of caring strangers and first responders, he did not survive.

Ethan leaves behind heartbroken family and friends. This loss is deeply felt by all who knew Ethan and the many lives he touched during his short 19 years. Ethan's legacy of compassion, empathy, charity, love, wisdom, hope, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire us all.

Liam, who lost his brother, mentor, hero, and best friend, is devastated. Ethan's greatest wish was to see Liam succeed and pursue his dreams, just as he was doing. To honor Ethan's memory, we want to ensure that Liam, along with other runners, have the opportunity to achieve their goals and shine brightly, guided by Ethan's spirit.

We are reaching out to you, our community, friends, and family, to help us fulfill Ethan's dream. Your generous contributions will go towards a scholarship fund for Liam and yearly scholarships for runners entering college.

Please help us keep Ethan's memory alive by supporting this scholarship fund. Thank you for your love and support during this difficult time.
