Support Eugene Kim's Family

Dear friends, family and our beloved community,

My name is Mimi Kang, and I am a close friend of Sooji Lee, wife to Eugene Kim. With a heavy heart and deep sadness, we share that Eugene unexpectedly passed away on October 20th, leaving behind Sooji and their 1-year-old daughter, Ayla Jiyu Kim. The family is understandably shocked, devastated and heartbroken by his sudden passing. As those who care for them deeply, I would like to take this opportunity to surround them with love and support at this tragic and painful time.

Eugene genuinely loved his daughter with all his heart and was the main provider for his family. With this unexpected tragedy, Sooji and Ayla will need all the help we can give. Please help by giving anything you can. All funds will go towards funeral costs, care for his young daughter and to secure her future.

Grief is overwhelming and one of the most painful emotions any human will ever encounter. While the pain of grief is the same whether the death is sudden or anticipated, a sudden loss is shocking and disorienting, reducing our ability to cope with and understand what has happened. Eugene's family is currently experiencing this shock and pain and your prayers, love and support are greatly appreciated.

All who knew Eugene knew he was a merrymaker, a comedian, an all-around lovable guy. But to us, he was our brother through thick and thin; loyal to the bone and unwavering in the demands of friendship. Most of you also know that he was never exclusive and in his words, lived by the mantra "the more the merrier". To that end, we want to open up the circle that is Wolfpack to all and ask you join us in commemorating his life, now and beyond, by supporting this initiative, as he would've loved nothing more than having his friends near and far to support his family.
