We’re excited to announce the grand opening of Evanston Pet Center, a fresh start that honors the legacy of our beloved Wilmette Pet Center. Our mission is to provide exceptional care for your pets and to support our vibrant community of pet-loving families in the North Shore.

Who We Are

We’re Alexander Dowd and Christopher Hall. Many of you may already know us—we’re the same dedicated team that cared for your pets for years at Wilmette Pet Center. For those who haven’t met us, we’re two passionate pet people who worked at the most incredible pet store until it closed. You can read more here.

The closing of Wilmette Pet left a huge hole in the community - not just the loss of a rare, local retail store but a source of joy and unconditional love - and we believe that needs to come back. We understand that pets are family members, and at Evanston Pet Center, we prioritize quality over quantity in everything we do. Our goal is to ensure that every pet and owner feels valued and cared for, just as they did at the former Wilmette Pet Center.
