Support Evelynn’s Fight Against Cancer

Hello, my name is Jamey, I am a lifelong friend of Evelynn’s family. I truly appreciate you taking the time to read Evelynn’s story. Evelynn is a loving, caring and brave 7 year old who enjoys racing dirt bikes and spending time with her family. Those who are lucky enough to know her will tell you that she can light up a room with her beautiful smile. On February 22nd, Evelynn and her parents’ world was turned upside down by an MRI scan, revealing a brain tumor. Immediately following, she was given a brain biopsy and spent 3 days in the hospital and was diagnosed with Pilocytic Astrosytoma, which is a type of tumor that grows on the brain stem that is inoperable. She then underwent surgery to put a port in her chest to start chemotherapy as soon as possible. Evelynn will have a long road ahead of her as her diagnosis requires weekly chemotherapy visits at Duke for the next 1-2 years. Evelynn needs our prayers and support! Any money raised will go directly toward helping offset the expense of her treatments and any ER visits she may need, as she is considered a high risk patient. Donations will also help her parents out with things like gas, food, and other living expenses. Evelynn’s parents will need to take extended time off from work to be by their daughter’s side through this fight. Any amount of money you are willing to donate will be greatly appreciated.
