Support Fairfield Restaurants & Healthcare Workers

Our hospitals, Fairfield EMS, fire, police, public works and shelters (among others) are doing everything they can to keep us safe at this time, and our local restaurants and service workers can help—with our help.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to buy meals from Fairfield restaurants for delivery to essential healthcare workers at area hospitals, as well as our first responders and public safety agencies including our local food pantry, Operation Hope.
With COVID-19 causing shutdowns across the country, our local restaurants that make our town so great--and that we all love--are facing tough times. At the same time, our nurses, doctors, firefighters and police are putting their health on the line to treat the sick and ensure our essential services continue to be delivered.
We live in Fairfield with our families. Our goal is simply to give back to the community we love. We are both small business owners and we have children in the Fairfield Public School system.
We don't have a direct relationship with the restaurants or essential services personnel, but We have been a recipient of their services in the past and would like to pay it forward to them.
Our plan is to reach out to Fairfield Fire, Police, and Public Works officials as well as Bridgeport Hospital to determine how to best deliver food while keeping everyone safe. Once in place, we will be reaching out to various restaurants to coordinate food orders and delivery. Our intent is to evenly distribute any funds raised, and try to spread orders out to as many Fairfield restaurants as possible.
We intend to use 100% of the donations to support local restaurants by buying meals from them, and delivering those meals to essential service providers to lessen their burden during the COVID-19 outbreak and shelter in place. In the unlikely event there are unspent funds, anything left over will be donated to a charity that is supporting laid off restaurant workers or essential service providers.
Our plan is to get the campaign’s donations to the intended recipient(s) by coordinating orders with restaurants and delivery to essential services workers. All receipts will be posted as updates. Given the logistical issues and time-sensitivity of the ongoing outbreak, it is possible that I will be personally advancing the raised money in order to expedite the relief provided.
