Dear Friends of Faizzal and Shiasta Fatehali

On November 17, 2023, our beloved friend Faizzal, a dedicated father to two wonderful daughters, faced a life-altering stroke that forever altered the trajectory of his family's life. Through two weeks of unconsciousness, battling against the odds, and the subsequent challenges of regaining consciousness with weakened cognition and the loss of his left side, Faizzal's story has unfolded as a testament to resilience, hope, and unwavering love for his family.

With the incredible support of the staff at Royal Columbia Hospital in New Westminster, BC, Faizzal embarked on a journey of recovery. Gradually, he has made remarkable progress, transitioning to Queens Park Rehabilitation Center where he continues to work tirelessly to regain strength and independence. Despite the challenges, he has shown immense determination, aided by the unwavering support of friends and family.

As Faizzal continues his journey, there are significant hurdles ahead, including the need for extensive private rehabilitation, medical equipment and home modifications to support his daily life. Simple tasks we often take for granted are now monumental milestones for him, and he still has a long road ahead towards independence.
