Help Us Honor the Lives of Two Afghan Men Who Tragically Drowned In The Salt River in Arizona

Dear friends and compassionate souls,

We are heartbroken to share the devastating news of two Afghan young men who tragically lost their lives in a drowning accident. These bright, innocent, hard-working cousins were evacuated in the “OAW” campaign in August 2021 and resettled in Arizona. Abdul Mosawar Khaliqi was a bright university student in Kabul, Afghanistan, and Mohammad Seleman Nasri served as a security officer in Kabul, and has been the sole supporter of his family. These young men were full of life, joy, and promise and were anxiously building their lives in America. They were beloved sons, brothers, and friends, and part of an incredible community that is now grieving their unimaginable loss.

We are setting up this GoFundMe to help the families with funeral expenses, memorial services, and support in their time of need. In their pain, they face significant financial burdens, and we want to help ease their suffering in any way we can.
