Fix-It Fund for Family Cars

We are raising money to help low-income families with emergency automotive repairs in Broome, Chenango and Cortland counties.

So many times, families are faced with automotive hardships that leave them struggling to choose between paying household bills and large automotive bills, in order to continue to support their families.

Raised in poverty, we remember our fathers out in the driveway spending hours, if not days, trying to get our family vehicle running again. Just to drive around and have something else go wrong shortly after. It is a cycle that low-income families are stuck in and we want to help end this cycle.

We will use the funding to provide professional mechanic diagnostics through locally participating garages. Who would then submit an itemized quote on necessary repairs. We will work with the family to finance the repairs and get their vehicle back on the road.
