Support Family for Son who was Hit Crossing the Street

Please help surround this family with support as they navigate the aftermath of their son who was struck by a vehicle while trying to cross the street to get on the bus. This incident occurred on New River road on January 30th at approximately 7am in the morning.

He is in stable condition but has several injuries that require close monitoring. He is currently waiting to undergo surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.

I will update with more details as they arise.

Update: The family is beyond grateful for your outpouring of support. Mason has a lot of broken bones and is out of surgery! They put a rod in his leg to support the break near the growth plate. Lots of bumps and bruises but no internal bleeding or swelling to his brain which is great news!

The family has a long road to recovery after this life-altering event.

As for the accident… The bus was stopped. The sign was out. Mason was crossing the street appropriately. The driver did stay on scene. I am sure this is a very difficult situation for them as well. Let’s all try to be compassionate for everyone involved.
