Help Us Pay Rent
Fat Cat Fab Lab is a 100% volunteer run NYC makerspace located in the heart of New York city in Greenwich Village. With high and low tech tools , we provide artistic outlets to New Yorkers for projects that can't be made in our tiny apartments. It has a welcoming and helpful community of artists, engineers, hobbyists, Burning Man folks, and startups. Since the Covid-19 Pandemic, we have been making and donating PPE with funds raised through "NYC Makes PPE". However that doesn't cover our costs to stay open.
Our biggest problem is making the rent and are burning through savings quickly. The situation is dynamic, if we see 10 members leave this month, November will be the last month we can pay. Update: We are now working on the December shortfall!
With your support Fat Cat Fab Lab can make it through these hard times and continue to be a much needed resource for creative people in NYC. Keeping it running means our community, which I dearly love, will continue to make wonderful and incredible projects. And the lab will be able continue it's commitment to support the NYC maker community at large.
