Support Fereshteh's Fight Against Cancer

Hi, my name is Fereshteh. I’m 54 years old, single, and fiercely independent. Throughout my life, I’ve carried the weight of responsibilities on my own shoulders, never relying on anyone else.

Twelve years ago, I immigrated to the U.S. after being banned from working in my home country. Since then, I’ve faced countless challenges, but the last few years have been especially overwhelming. I’ve dealt with dissatisfaction at work, being scammed by someone I considered a friend, and multiple health issues — including spinal disc problems, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, prediabetes, and ongoing nerve and muscle pain. And now, I’ve been diagnosed with cancer.

I’m not a weak person, and I’m not afraid of illness or death. But right now, the financial burden is becoming too heavy. I’m unable to work, and the costs of basic living — rent, caring for my mother who lives with me, and supporting my two beloved 9-year-old Shih Tzus who are like my children — are overwhelming.
