Support Fiona’s Road To Recovery

Northern Beaches Community - I’m reaching out with a heartfelt request for help on behalf of a beautiful friend and local mother, Fiona Bullimore-Oates.

Fiona, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and as of last week, has bravely begun her treatment journey, Living far from any family support and raising her 5 year old daughter here in Australia while still building a village, this unexpected diagnosis has not only brought emotional and physical challenges but also significant financial burdens.

The costs associated with ongoing medical treatments and medications during this time are overwhelming. The family arrived in Australia in 2023 and found themselves in a precarious situation due to costs associated with her residency visa and no work order

while awaiting this decision. As you can imagine this has only added to the stress she and her family are experiencing at this time and the aim is to lessen this burden.

My name is Jaclyn Carlson and I’m reaching out to our community to ask for help. I've had the privilege of knowing Fiona for the past year and have witnessed her incredible resilience, boundless kindness, and her always-ready willingness to lend a hand to others. Now, it's our turn to give back to her in her time of need and lesson the burden

she’s been carrying.

I’m asking local friends and the Northern Beaches community for any support they can offer her. We've set up this GoFundMe campaign to help ease the financial strain of Fiona's medical expenses as she undergoes treatment.
