Support Firas's Family with Basic Needs and Evacuation

Hello, my name is Laura and I am creating this campaign on behalf of my friend Firas in Gaza who I communicate with daily. These funds will go directly to Firas Mohammedin and his family to provide them with their basic needs like food, water, and evacuation fee.

Hello, my name is Firas, I am 23 years old and from Gaza. I am from the north of Gaza and currently displaced in the south of Gaza with my family. I am responsible for my family and providing them with food and water, which is very expensive and difficult to find here. I have my mother and father and 2 sisters and 3 brothers. I am very scared for them along with my other family who is still in the north. We want to evacuate and start a new life in a safe place where my siblings can go to school and my family can have basic needs. It’s is very tiring to live through this difficult situation for 10 months and suffering every day. In Gaza, everyday is tiring and dangerous and the conditions are getting worse.

Please donate so I can provide my family with food and water and get them to a safe place God willing.

I had just started working in an auto repair shop and was about to start my career. But the events of October 7th changed everything. The ongoing occupation stripped him of his dreams, and left everything he had built in ruins. Despite these overwhelming difficulties, Firas’ spirit remained resilient. He worked tirelessly to raise enough money to bring food and evacuate his family from the devastation when the Rafah crossing opened.

For months, Firas has been reaching out to the world, making heartfelt videos, and begging for help.

Now, Firas needs our help to get his family out of Gaza. He is one of the kindest and most generous people you will ever meet, always willing to help others. Let us come together to support Firas at this critical time, and ensure he is able to rebuild his life once the borders open. Time is of the essence.

This is Firas’s message to the world:

“Despite my shyness, I was compelled to write this letter after much confusion and hesitation. I am writing to share the story of our family from Gaza. In the wake of the recent bombing, our home, which was home to nine people, including eight adults and a child, was completely destroyed. We are currently living in the city of Deir al-Balah and staying in a tent without access to basic necessities such as food and water. We are seeking assistance for our family in Gaza. The government has requested $5,000 per person to facilitate our exit through the crossing. While this is a large sum, any contribution, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Your generosity and prayers mean a lot to us during this difficult time. Thank you for keeping all those affected by the conflict in your thoughts. With love, Firas

The funds raised will go towards the evacuation and food costs for Firas and his family of 5 (names are listed at the end of this text for transparency). Before the border closure, the cost was $5,000 per adult and $2,500 per child from Through Hala Travel Agency. However, these costs increase based on how quickly the evacuation is needed, and the price once the borders are open is unknown. The evacuation will be to Egypt. Any additional funds will go towards the costs of settling in Egypt and rebuilding the lives of Firas and his family.
