Support Asheville First Responders with Self-Care Services

Helping our Helpers. This GoFundMe is dedicated to our First Responders: Fire Department, Police Department, Emergency medical, rescue teams, and all those who have and continue to work tirelessly and compassionately to provide relief to all those affected by Hurricane Helene in Western North Carolina.

Why: We know that our first responders are physically and mentally exhausted, and many have been working nonstop to save lives and provide supplies and assistance to those in need. One of our Team Members at MedAge has a sister in the Asheville Fire Department, and we have been corresponding directly with those in the Fire Department as to how we at MedAge can help our helpers.

We have decided together that in lieu of supply donations, we can provide them with personal care services such as massage treatment, relaxation, therapy, and other services that may be limited over the next few months. This fund will go directly to providing pain management, therapeutic exercise, and relaxation to those who have been in high-stress situations.

In partnership with William Ehersam, LMBT, we have agreed to provide first responders with 45-minute massage therapy sessions for $50.00.

Your funds will go directly to providing massages to first responders provided by local certified massage therapists. Therapists will be made available at local fire stations.

We are grateful to our first responders for their hard work and dedication to the health and safety of our residents of Western North Carolina.
