Support Flex Fitness Through the Shutdown

Flex Fitness is an independently owned 24 hour gym in Salem Oregon that is trying its best to survive during these hard times that our state and nation is facing.
It is a family run business that has made the difficult decision to stay open during this 2 week shut down. These next two weeks, with the possibility of the shut down being extended are crucial for the businesses to stay open and the staff to stay employed.
This choice was not made lightly and is not an anyway geared towards defiance. The owner and his staff made the choice that they thought was the only one that would keep the business alive and that was best for the members and the community.
Governor Brown is keeping open physical therapy, doctors offices, and children's after school programs because studies have shown that these programs and activities are positive for mental health.
Mark Blevins and his staff whole-heartedly believe that exercise is necessary for mental health, physical health and all over well being. There is no rule that says as soon as you become 18, the benefit of physical fitness disappears.
Mark and his staff understand that their choice may come with consequences and unlike larger businesses that are also choosing to stay open, they will not survive a large fine either.
Mark was faced with a very hard choice to make. He respects the Governor and understands that she is trying to make Oregon a safer place. However, the Governor's picking and choosing of what is open or not, is going to shut down many small businesses this time. They will not be able to survive being shut down especially with the holidays coming up.
I am asking for your support for Flex Fitness, for Mark Blevins for all of his staff and for every member who needs their exercise for their mental and physical health.
The gym is going to continue to keep up with their rigorous cleaning protocols.
Masks will be required while working out and social distancing will be enforced.
The gym will enforce a 50% capacity limit at all times.
During this time they will limit their hours to 5am - 10pm
