Support Flor Perez's Fight to Beat Cancer

On November 14, 2019, my mother, Flor Perez, went in for an endoscopy and colonoscopy. Through the exams the doctor noticed that there was a large mass that was taking up almost all of her stomach. Four days later, the doctors came to the conclusion that what she had was Stage IV gastric cancer. She was then informed of this on November 26th, two days before Thanksgiving.
My parents struggled in finding a way to inform me of the circumstances my mother was facing. Eventually, I found out after reading some of my
mom’s diagnostic papers and it broke my heart reading them.
As a family, we have faith in God. We know that this is just a small bump in the road and God doesn’t give us something that we can’t endure.
We want to thank all of those that have been by our side since the beginning and for those that have my mother and our family in their thoughts
and prayers.
With the COVID-19 pandemic at large, my father, who is the primary source of income, is temporarily unemployed. We have very little income
coming in and it is not enough to support our family of four.
Any type of donation is greatly appreciated during these difficult times. For those unable to donate, please continue to share my mother’s story.

El 14 de noviembre de 2019, mi madre, Flor Pérez, se sometió a una endoscopia y una colonoscopia. A través de los exámenes, el médico notó que había una gran masa que ocupaba casi todo su estómago.
4 días después, los médicos llegaron a la conclusión de que lo que ella tenía era cáncer gástrico en estadio IV. Luego fue informada de esto el 26 de noviembre, dos días antes del Día de Acción de Gracias.
Mis padres lucharon por encontrar una manera de informarme de las circunstancias que enfrentaba mi madre. Finalmente, me enteré después de leer algunos de los documentos de diagnóstico de mi madre y me rompió el corazón al leerlos.
Como familia, tenemos fe en Dios. Sabemos que esto es solo un pequeño obstáculo en el camino y Dios no nos da algo que no podamos soportar.
Queremos agradecer a todos aquellos que han estado a nuestro lado desde el principio y a aquellos que tienen a mi madre y a nuestra familia en sus pensamientos y oraciones.
Con la pandemia de COVID-19 en general, mi padre, quien es la principal fuente de ingresos, está temporalmente desempleado. Tenemos muy pocos ingresos y no es suficiente para mantener a nuestra familia de cuatro.
Cualquier tipo de donación es muy apreciada durante estos tiempos difíciles. Para aquellos que no pueden donar, continúen compartiendo la historia de mi madre.
