Support Farmworkers Building Power in Florida
Tax deductible
The Farmworker Association of Florida (FWAF) is a statewide, grassroots, farmworker-led organization with over 10,000 members and five offices in the state of Florida. For 40 years, FWAF has been building power among farmworkers to win social and environmental justice.
For my birthday this year, I'm inviting my friends, family, and movement comrades to join me in supporting the work of FWAF, as a reflection of our collective responsibility to move resources to BIPOC- and worker-led organizations fighting on the frontlines of the battle to put people over profit.
FWAF's legacy in 2023 alone includes training over 800 workers on heat stress safety and their workplace rights, and becoming the main plaintiff in a federal lawsuit challenging Senate Bill 1718, Florida's new anti-immigrant law.
I'm raising $5,000 as an investment in the work that FWAF is doing to reclaim the land and win justice for those who steward it. With these funds, FWAF can continue training farmworkers across the state to build power, advocate for their rights, and win big!
You can read more about FWAF at their website.
