Support Flo's Surgery and Recovery

As many of you know, Flo is going through a really rough patch and she is in a really rough situation. As we tried to medically pass her impaction, she is not responding to her treatment and is now undergoing surgery. I won't give up on this horse and hate to ask anyone for anything, but I am just looking for options. Even if you can't help financially, all I am asking for is prayers. I will provide updates as we get them. Thank you,

10:04pm UPDATE: she has made it out of surgery and will remain at the hospital for a week to make sure she progresses without infection or any other complications.

They are estimating surgery and stay to total about $10,000 if everything goes smoothly and no other issues come about. Still waiting for the call for when she comes back on her feet which will be a few hours but she is hopeful to make a full recovery with all the love and support around her that she can possibly have.

11/4 UPDATE

After surgery at 10:02 last night she found her feet again around 11:45pm

No updates throughout the night which was good and we arrived around 1130am today to visit her. She has been hand fed hay to get some food in her stomach but is very angry when it is all gone. She unfortunately has to use a muzzle as she is trying to eat her bedding and has not been a fan of it.

Surgery went very well and they had no other worries when she was on the table. We are hoping to stay clear of infections and/or other future issues that come along with these kinds of surgeries.

Her stay will be just about a week to continue her progression while being kept on 24 hour watch. She has not been a happy camper in which I do not blame her as she is in alot of pain from her incision, hunger and confusion from the situation.

She is definitely very upset and wants to be home with her people but she has a long road to recovery.

10/5 UPDATE

Flo and I said our goodbyes as we had to head home today and she was not coming with us just yet. Unfortunately with Scarlett and lack of supply and price of hotels it was time to make our journey back. Hooking up the empty trailer was very upsetting, I cannot wait to bring her back to her friends and family.

Today we went to see her and she felt like Flo again. Being her goofy self flipping her bowl around and smiling at me after knowing she wasnt supposed to do that! Eating some mash and hay, in her glories.

Her incision is so far looking good but doesnt mean nothing will come about in the future.

I will say I absolutely recommend Cornell Animal Hospital I have never met such friendly people in such stressful situations. After 72 hour shifts they still catered to us with any questions or needs for Flo. I cannot thank them enough for the work they have done so far for us.

I will continue to pray for her for these next few days until we get to see her for her travels home.

Just received the call we have been waiting for since we left this morning! Flo is thriving and she gets to come back home with us on FRIDAY!! I am eternally grateful of the prayers, support and donations! I cannot thank you all enough for everything you have all done for my family! Even sharing her story is a blessing

As long as no unforeseen circumstances occur to keep her she will be coming back with us later this week and we cannot wait! We have her place all ready for her return and everyone is waiting for her!

These last few hours have felt like an eternity without her. My heart shattered leaving her but she is in the most amazing hands possible.

Cornell Animal Hospital is the most amazing place hands down! I am so appreciative of everything they have done, they have given our girl the best and nothing less than that. She is in amazing care with such a wonderful support system around her.
