Help Flow Gallery pay our artists for lost or damaged work: Goal $23,500
While the owners of Flow Gallery took precautions prior to the flood, it wasn’t enough!
No one could have predicted that the water level would reach 87” inside the Gallery and
like most businesses in Downtown Marshall, we did not have flood insurance to cover
these losses. In the weeks following the flood, after the mucking and gutting was over,
the analysis was done to determine the losses. The artist’s work that was lost or
damaged totaled $23,500. For many of our artists, selling their art is their only source of
income and we want to raise funds to pay our artists for their lost work!
Flow Gallery opened in 2010 with eight local women artists who were looking for a
venue to sell their work. The historic and newly renovated space at 14 S Main Street
was a perfect fit for showcasing the handmade items for the body and home. At the
time of the flood, Flow was owned by one of the founding members, woodworker
Connie Molland, and quilter/fiber artist Kari Morton. The shop featured the hand-crafted
work of 75 local artists in all mediums.
Money raised from this GoFundMe will be given to our artists to pay them for their work
that was lost or damaged.
