Because of COVID-10 and CDC restrictions, please help this family pay for travel expenses while Phillip goes through chemo treatments.
In 2019, Phillip was diagnosed with T-cell Lymphoma. He had to go on medical leave from his job with DoD FIRE AND EMERGENCY SERVICES After several weeks of chemo and other procedures, he was finally in the clear. He was still having to wait to be 100 percent to go back to work at his fire rescue job. Because the other fire personnel within the department are so gracious, they have been donating leave so the family can still stay afloat.
Just recently, cancer has returned; however, due to COVID-19, Tiffany, his wife, cannot stay at the hospital with him. This brings us to the reason for this fundraiser. They will be traveling from McDavid, FL near Pensacola, FL to Houston, Texas at MD Anderson Cancer Center for chemo treatments for 3 treatments. That is 533 miles one way, and Tiffany must stay in a hotel for the duration of the treatment, usually a week. The cancer center will not allow her to even set foot into the hospital. This is an expense that usually wouldn't happen because she would stay with Phillip in the hospital. After the 3 chemo treatments, Phillip will undergo a stem cell transplant that could take about a month; another expense that they can't afford.
Phillip's first appointment with MD Anderson Cancer Center will be on May 19, 2020. Some money will need to be available by that date.
