As difficult as this is to post, it also comes with great hope and reassurance that our community is resilient and supportive; so I call on each of you that see this request to lift up the Legendre family and support them as they embark on a difficult journey ahead.
On Thursday evening after football practice, Colby was headed home on his bicycle when he was struck by a truck and sustained serious injuries. He was taken to Cascade Valley Hospital and later transported to Harborview Medical Center and admitted to ICU where he is now under treatment. Colby suffered a right side temporal skull fracture leading to a brain bleed and required surgery (successful) this morning to release pressure. Colby also has a broken leg that will require surgery once he becomes more stable. Needless to say, Colby has a long road to recovery.
Colby is a starting Offensive Lineman on the Youth Senior Football team. He is always working to be a better play and is dedicated to his team! Beyond football, Colby is a son, brother and student in the Arlington School District. He and his family are apart of our community and need your prayers, well wishes and humbly accept any support at this time.
The family, Rita, Steve, Kayla, Rob, Mariah, & Savannah greatly appreciate the support they've received since the accident. "Just to know the community is behind them is huge!"
