Support for the Child of Alicia Cardenas

Emergency & ongoing community support for the vibrant & amazing child of Alicia Cardenas.

 

In the wake of such a devastating and senseless tragedy, a massive global community is grieving the immense loss of this powerful woman.

 

Huge thanks to everyone  who's donated and shared. 

The outpouring of love and generosity is a reflection of just how much  Alicia gave to her community.  Now it's our turn to give back.

The intention is that this fund will help support Alicia's child and co-parent into their future.  We are looking into a trust being set up for this.

 

Please share generously to support Alicia's 12 year old child.. they will need all of us in the years to come.

UPDATE: 

A dedicated bank account with both father (Russell Lang) and godmother as co-signers has been set up for these funds in lieu of a trust, which was just one option among many and which turned out to be unnecessarily complicated, and also could have made the funds unavailable for immediate use by Russell and Apolo (Xochitl).   This way, they have immediate access to the support they need for whatever circumstances arise.  

This fundraiser is being organized by close friend, Aloria Weaver. 

At the request of many people, 8x10" memorial prints of the oil painting portrait of Alicia, "Integrity, Piercing the Veil of Obscuration" by Aloria Weaver are being made available, as gift offerings.   Details on Aloria's or Alicia's facebook.  These are not connected to this fundraiser in any way (requests need to be made to Aloria directly).
